New skin in 15 days

Two weeks ago I started with a new skin care routine that has given me excellent results in terms of luminosity and texture.

It is a four step system: Cleansing, Toning, Nurturing and Moisturizing. The third step NURTURING is the most relevant of all and also the most overlooked by many women (myself included).
We usually believe that moisturizers not only hydrate but treat our skin but this is not the case. Read on to find out why!

SERUMS are actually the ones in charge of nurturing and treating the skin with potent and special ingredients. Using them is the stepping stone for creating a solid and succesful skin care regimen.

I've been using the new Youth Xtend Serum for the past 15 days every morning and every evening and can see and feel the results already. It has amazing natural ingredients such as African Baobab to protect skin from environmental damage, Meditrrranean Myrtle from which LifeSirt is extracted and stimulates protein formation in our cells, Acerola cherry rich in antioxidants and a peptide called Micro X6 to promote collagen production. This potent cocktail revitalizes, repairs and renews our complexion!

Youth Xtend Serum Concentrate has been available since June and can be purchased through Amway representatives worldwide. You can find out how to get it at

This new adventure in skin care began with a visit to Grand Rapids in Michigan where the headquarters of Artistry are located. Did you know this is one of the top five best selling beauty brands worldwide?

It is found in fifty countries including my beautiful Colombia.

The purpose of the trip was to introduce editors, bloggers and journalists to their new Skincare line which will be officially out in September 2013.

Youth Xtend Skin Care Collection was designed to treat and prevent the first signs of aging: fine lines, wrinkles and dullness. The line includes a cleanser, a toner, the super serum, an eye cream, a daily moisturizer or cream and a night time lotion or cream according to the needs of your skin.

The tour started in New York With a fun group of  journalists. We took Amway's private jet from Teterboro airport to Grand Rapids for two wonderful days of meeting the company's experts and the science and work behind the products.

Upon our arrival a delicious welcome dinner was offered Candace Mathews delightful home. She is the CMO of Amway and opened the doors to her home and her admirable life during that evening. Dinner was delicious! Healthy ingredients in every dish and some of them like mushrooms and green tea reminded us of many of the natural  ingredients that Artistry's beauty products contain.

Next day we started early with lots of papering and fun makeup. We had a facial to experience the new Youth Xtend Line, a paragon hand treatment and a makeup session. I got to try new green eye shadows for the first time and loved the results! They made my honey colored eyes pop.

Once we were all ready we were driven to the headquarters of Artistry to speak to the scientists and experts and get a hands on experience at the labs

After a short but complete talk about the history of Artistry given by Maud Pansing VP of Global Beauty for Amway and an incredible scientific presentation about Youth Xtend its benefits and ongredients offered by Dr Jesse Leverett who has developed more than 12 US patents and several others worldwide, we were ready to go to the labs...but not before a delicious light lunch and a fresh  cherry sorbet!

We became scientists for three amazing hours, clad in white robes and all, playing with new shades of a magical foundation that will also be part of the Youth Xtend Foundation in November, learning how extracts from plants and natural ingredients are obtained, discovering incredible equipment to measure skin's quality and texture, and reveling on how packaging and handling of each product plays a key role in the production and success of the line.

Marveled by all we learned and discovered, we left the labs for a calm and sunny afternoon on a yacht along the border of Lake Michigan and another delicious dinner before heading back home to New York.

Our hosts Larissa Malone and Kelsey Schultz the adorable PR team from Artistry took care of every detail during our stay, made us feel like princesses and gifted us at the end with a beautiful handbag that had all the products of the Youth Xtend line.

I made the commitment to try it out for two weeks before sharing my experience and now I am thrilled with my skin.

Thank you Artistry for expanding my knowledge on beauty and science! I believe all women should know what products and ingredients they are putting on their skin to understand the benefits they can see and feel.

If I can help with to expand their knowledge with my experiences and stories while becoming gorgeous in the process I'm more than happy to do it!
